Pluto

The model of Pluto used to be near the Länsiväylä cycling/pedestrian bridge leading to Hanasaari, but it has been missing for a while. [note: The pages note that in 2000 that both the guide and Pluto were missing, but as of July 2004, the guide has been replaced but Pluto is still AWOL.]

In July 2000 the info guide and Pluto were both missing.

Pluto

Pluto is clearly the smallest of the planets and is the farthest from the Sun. It has an eccentric orbit and during the years between 1979 and 1999 it was closer to the Sun than Neptune. Pluto was discovered in 1930. Pluto's diameter is 2,245km (2.2mm in the model). Its average distance from the Sun is 5,885 million km (6,102m in the model). Pluto revolves around the Sun once every 247 years. Pluto has a rather large moon named Charon. Charon's diameter is about 1,500km (1.5mm in the model) and the distance between them is about 20,000km (20mm in the model).
